Happy Birthday!

This card was a lot of fun to make. I took 4 different coloured 1.5" squares and rounded one corner in each of them to make the center of the card.

This patterned paper reminds me of a busy fabric you would find on a couch or curtains. I love it!

With Sympathy

This is my very first crack at trying the Michelle Zindorf technique of stamping. Her stuff is artwork and I think it will take lots of practice to get as good as her. I used a sponge and a post it note torn with jagged edges to create the background and then stamped the tree using basic black.

Happy Thoughts Series - Thanks So Much


It's days like today that I wish I had a bigger variety of ribbon for my projects. When I find a design I like, I usually make several version of it with varying sentiments and colours. But the last two series of cards I have made involve ribbon and I don't have a lot of selection. I think with next month's club order I will have to order some more.

I had a chance to use the Define You Life stamp set this year, and although I don't own it yet, I had a lot of fun trying out different designs with it. I think this is one of my favourites. I made several different sentiments using varying colours and I am very pleased with how this one turned out.

I've been trying to figure out what to do with my Lovely As A Tree (SU) stamp set. I love it but was not sure how to use it on a card. I decided to do tone on tone with a simple card and a sentiment. I really like how it turned out.

I've had the base of this card done since I got my first Stampin Up order. I've been waiting to put a stamp on it though until I got one I could colour in using my pastels. Well the Flower For All Seasons is proving to be a great purchase. I've already made 3 cards with this set of 4 stamps.

I copied the basic layout of this card from a mother's day card I saw on Split Coast Stampers. I decided to make this one a Thank You card instead. It is very similar to the purple Thank You card I made last week and I really like the layout.
