I love how the Night of Navy and Bashful Blue contrast each other in this card. Using the same template as the Hello Baby card, I made this fun card.

I have many birthday cards built up in my collection, thanks to a birthday card class I attended at Blair's. I've also had a chance to play around with some cards of my own. I came up with this card tonight. It's a little crooked, but I don't mind.

Since I don't have very many stamp sets yet, I'm trying to get as much use out of my darling dots set as I can. I am surprised at how many instances I've been able to use them so far. I wanted a simple card to have on hand for sending a gift to someone for something other than a birthday. I like the simple look of this and I am really happy with the colours.

I was in the mood to make a card that was colourful and that would give me a chance to play with the colour inks I have. I have not really had an opportunity to get to use the colours much with the cards I have made so far. I am really loving my "Darling Dots" stamp set from Stampin Up. There are so many uses for these little stamps.

This card was so much fun to make. At the time, I hadn't received any of my colours (ink or pastels) so I was limited in what I could do with the card. I did have my Whisper White Craft Ink from Stampin Up and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I copied the format off of a shower card I had made at an 8 great greatings class I took with my Stampin Up girl Blair.

This card did not turn out how I had originally envisioned it, but I love it none the less. I get my ideas for cards on this fantastic site called Split Coast Stampers. I can look up any colour or type of paper, any type of theme and instantly look at thousands of cards people have shared. It gives me great ideas for cards. So this one ended up very different from the sample I got off Split Coast Stampers. I actually like my version better. I really like the layers of paper. I think every card maker has their own styles and techniques they prefer. I definitely think that mine is going to develop into one of layering my paper to make a sort of art.
