Smile!

There isn't really any occasion for this card, but I think it will make a cute "just because" card to send out to a friend. It has a very spring like feel to it and I love my new Picnic Parade stamp set. So many different scenes can be created to make cards with it.

To make this card I used:
Paper: Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Tea Party DSP
Ink: Basic Gray
Stamps: Picnic Parade
Accessories: Stampin Up! pastels, new border punch, large oval punch, scallop oval punch, bashful blue ribbon

Just Saying Hello!

This card did not turn out how I had originally envisioned it, but I love it none the less. I get my ideas for cards on this fantastic site called Split Coast Stampers. I can look up any colour or type of paper, any type of theme and instantly look at thousands of cards people have shared. It gives me great ideas for cards. So this one ended up very different from the sample I got off Split Coast Stampers. I actually like my version better. I really like the layers of paper. I think every card maker has their own styles and techniques they prefer. I definitely think that mine is going to develop into one of layering my paper to make a sort of art.

In making this one, I used the following:
Paper: Mellow Moss (SU), Bashful Blue (SU), Whisper White (SU), Delicate Dots (DSP SU), Print paper from dollarama
Ink: Mellow Moss (SU), Barely Banana (SU), Chocolate Chip (SU)
Stamps: Darling Dots (SU)
Accessories: Tag (Martha Stewart), Chit Chat Rub Ons (SU)

Friends Forever

This is one of my favourite cards I've made so far. I'm going to start showcasing them here, in a blog, rather than clog everyone's email boxes every time I create a card. I think it is safe to say I am obsessed with card making. It's surprising to me how much I like it, given that I never took to scrapbooking at all. I think what I enjoy the most about making cards is that I can take my supplies out, sit down, make a card in under a 1/2 hour and then put everything away. The time committement isn't there like it would be with scrapbooking.

This card was fairly simple to make:

Stamps: Polka Dot Punches (SU)
Ink: Basic Black (SU)
Paper: Certainly Celery (SU), Whisper White (SU), Black (generic), Yellow (generic), Delicate Dots (DSP SU)
Accessories: Blad brads (generic), Pastel colours (SU), Yellow Ribbon (Martha Stewart), Chit Chat Rub Ons (SU)
