Happy Birthday Jeff

I made this card for my brother Jeff's birthday. I love using the sponging technique to make cards. They always turn out so pretty. On the whisper white, I used post-it notes to border off the image (1/2 " on top, 1/2" on left, 1 1/4" on right, 1 1/4" on bottom). Then I sponged Ballet Blue on the top part of the image and Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa on the bottom. I then stamped my Inspired by nature over it with Basic Black. When you peel away the post it notes, it looks great against the whisper white.

To make this card I used:
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Whisper White
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Basic Black, Creamy Caramel, Ballet Blue
Stamps: Inspired By Nature, Family Phrases
Accessories: sponges, post-it notes

Secret of Happiness

I saw this design on Split Coast Stampers and decided to make it into a birthday card. I used a post-it note punched with the 1 3/8" circle punch for the moon and sponged the rest of it, stamping the grass and sentiment with basic black ink.

To make this card I used:
Paper: Summer Sun, Really Rust, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Close To Cocoa, Creamy Caramel
Stamps: Birthdays Count, Inspired By Nature
Accessories: post it notes, 1 3/8" circle punch, sponges

It's not the fall yet but...
