Happy Anniversary Barb & Pete

I had a lot of fun making this card for my sister and brother in law's anniversary. I got to use my big shot and mover and shapers die cut. I love how it turned out. Here is what it looked like from the outside:

The inside is just as pretty, with a punched out image:

The finishing touch is embossing along the bottom of the card on the inside:

Pink Passion is one of my favourite colours and I'm sad that they retired it. I bought a bunch of it, though, so I'll be able to make cards with this colour for a long time to come. I really like it with So Saffron and Apricot Appeal, another retired colour I will miss.

Happy Birthday Jeff

I made this card for my brother Jeff's birthday. I love using the sponging technique to make cards. They always turn out so pretty. On the whisper white, I used post-it notes to border off the image (1/2 " on top, 1/2" on left, 1 1/4" on right, 1 1/4" on bottom). Then I sponged Ballet Blue on the top part of the image and Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa on the bottom. I then stamped my Inspired by nature over it with Basic Black. When you peel away the post it notes, it looks great against the whisper white.

To make this card I used:
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Whisper White
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Basic Black, Creamy Caramel, Ballet Blue
Stamps: Inspired By Nature, Family Phrases
Accessories: sponges, post-it notes
