Wedding Invitation

I offered to make the invitations for my brother's wedding. After all, I love making cards. I figured...how much more difficult could making many cards be versus just one? It has proved very time consuming, but I am so happy with the end result.

I took a standard card size stock, folded it in half and then cut off part of the bottom so when it folded up, it would reveal part of the card. I then embossed the bottom part of the card so when it folded up, you could see the embossing. I used my printer to create the "invitation" writing and then stamped, in Gold, the additional embellishments. I finished the card off with strip of paper to hold the card together.

For the envelope, I typed up the addresses on labels. I thought envelope looked a little plain so I stamped a flower in tempting turquoise to match the card. I took one of my markers and filled part of the flower in using Blush Blossom, to match the card as well. I then stamped a sentiment on the back.

To make this card I used:
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Matte white paper
Ink: Metallic Gold, Tempting Turquoise
Stamps: Wedding Sweet, Monogram Sweet, Embrace Life, Sweet Little Sentiments
Accessories: Embossing folder, Stampin Up Markers

Thank Ewe

I made this card on my new desk tonight. I was getting sick of always having all my stampin up stuff everywhere while I made a card on the kitchen table so I bought a desk and bookshelf so I could have a dedicated space to make cards on. I LOVE IT!

To make this card I used:
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pink Passion
Stamps: Pun Fun, Sprinkles
Accessories: ribbon, stampin up markers

Happy Birthday Sam

I made this birthday card for my nephew and I love the colours. I saw a very similar card on Splitcoast Stampers and couldn't wait to make it.

To make this card I used:
Paper: Summer Sun, Tempting Turquoise, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White
Ink: Summer Sun, Tempting Turquoise, Bravo Burgundy
Stamps: Look Who's Turning
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise Ribbon

Lovely Birthday

I think the Old Olive and Night of Navy make this card perfect for a masculine birthday card. I used post it notes to outline the border of the stamped image for a clean border and sponged the background.

To make this card I used: (all Stampin Up!)
Paper: Night Of Navy, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Night Of Navy, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Basic Black
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Accessories: brads, post it notes

Silhouette Birthday

I wasn't quite sure how the Tempting Turquoise was going to look against the Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie, but I like it!

To make this card I used: (All Stampin Up! products)
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie DSP, Whisper White
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Stamps: Flowers In Silhouette, Fundamental Phrases
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie ribbon, large oval punch, scallop oval punch

With Sympathy

This is my very first crack at trying the Michelle Zindorf technique of stamping. Her stuff is artwork and I think it will take lots of practice to get as good as her. I used a sponge and a post it note torn with jagged edges to create the background and then stamped the tree using basic black.

To make this card I used:
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White
Ink: Apricot Appeal, Basic Black, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Tempting Turquoise, Night Of Navy
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Lovely As A Tree
Accessories: post it notes, sponges, window punch, embossing border, tempting turquoise brads

Welcome Mom and Dad

Here is another example of a welcome card I made. I made this one for my mom and dad. This past summer, they sold their house and bought a new one. I hand wrote a "sold" sign and put it beside one of the houses to represent the house they had just sold and put a "welcome" sign above another house, representing the one they had bought.

To make this card I used: (All Stampin Up! products)
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Cameo Coral, Garden Green
Stamps: Neighbourhood Jumbo Wheel, Sweet Little Sentiments, Itty Bitty Buds
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise Ribbon, Stampin Up Pastels

Paper: Pink Passion, Whisper White
Accessories: 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop circle punch, pink ribbon

Memories

I had a chance to use the Define You Life stamp set this year, and although I don't own it yet, I had a lot of fun trying out different designs with it. I think this is one of my favourites. I made several different sentiments using varying colours and I am very pleased with how this one turned out.

To make this card I used:
Paper: Whisper White (SU), Tempting Turquoise (SU), Chocolate Chip (SU), Apricot Appeal (SU)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU)
Stamps: Define Your Life (SU)

Elegant Series - Dearest Friend

I think out of all the stamp sets I have received to date, the Itty Bitty Buds set has been the most versatile for me. I never seem to run out of ideas for using this set. I found a great card on Split Coast Stampers and modified it to suit my own sentiment stamp. I love the white space on the card. It really makes the flowers and sentiment pop out. I also like the smaller borders I used to frame the white. I typically use a 1/4" border but went slightly smaller with this card.

To make this card I Used:
Stamps: Itty Bitty Buds (SU), Glad Friends (SU)
Ink: Temping Turquoise (SU), Night Of Navy (SU)
Paper: Whisper White (SU), Tempting Turquoise (SU), Night Of Navy (SU)
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise Ribbon (SU)

Seeing Spots of Friendship

I love love love the way this card turned out. I love the colour combination and the new stamp sets. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to.

To make this card, I used:
Stamps: Seeing Spots (SU), Think Happy Thoughts (SU)
Ink: Green Galore (SU), Chocolate Chip (SU)
Paper: Tempting Turquoise (SU), Green Galore (SU), Chocolate Chip (SU), Whisper White (SU)
